Fresh Fields introduction

In this second series of prophetic parables 'Fresh Fields' the Protestant (Evangelical) Christian Church is paralleled to a well meaning but very proud and very foolish farmer.

Through these three stories a farmer battles to gain harvests with tired methods and an over used field. He continues to plant good seed in bad soil. He sees other farmers nearby being successful but pride impedes him learning from them. In fact he criticises their success. Poverty results for his family as he cries out to God for relief and results. He refuses to see God's hands of provision for others is also the same hand of provision for him.

There is a very clear message here especially for the traditional Evangelical Church that continues to cast criticisms at the Pentecostal or other new and successful churches.
